I loved everything about this book-the charming and captivating story, EyE the character for her curiosity and "sparkle", and the wonderful and whimsical illustrations. I'm looking so forward to the next book in this engaging style of writing by the author. Keep them coming, please!
This magical, intriguing story told by the spunky, curious and adorable, EyE, will delight young readers. It will also inform them of some matters of the heart and a particular gem's special qualities. I can't wait to share this with my 10-year and 6 year old granddaughters and their friends. They will love the illustrations, too.

As a former librarian, I have yet to see a book with such a unique story that also contains interesting education along with a life lesson for a young person. It is a light mystery which takes the reader on a wonderful journey while the main character, EyE, discovers a whole new world. I believe a child of any age would learn something new and enjoy the discovery.
I bought this book for two different girls in two states, my local elementary school and my neighborhood library branch. It is a book that has geography and geology in it and encourages girls to think and follow their hunches. The educational component is wonderful and the story is a fun read for kids. It tells the tale of antique jewels which rarely are mentioned in stories.
This is a children's book but I loved it even as an adult!! I couldn't wait to find out the ending and the find this young investigator solve the mystery!
“EyE the SpyMystery of the Sparkle” is such an adorable book. Lynne Arkin has written a unique story in which EyE has a series of adventures in search of the elusive sparkle. Along the way, EyE is learning valuable lessons. This book can also help teach kids about science or geology and would be great for use in science classrooms. The drawings are cute and go perfectly with the story. I would recommend this book for kids and their parents, and also for teachers to read to their students.
